Innovator of the Year nomination for Rupert Brown, CTO of Evidology Systems

The CTO of Evidology Systems Ltd., Rupert Brown, has been nominated for “Innovator of the Year” at the 2021 UK FinTech awards. Brown, who is the brains behind the QED technology at Evidology Systems, faced fierce competition at this year’s UK FinTech awards, with over 300 entries.

Rupert Brown, CTO and founder of Evidology Systems, said: “I am delighted to be nominated for Innovator of the Year by the UK FinTech Awards, and to play my part in contributing to the growth and development of the UK FinTech sector. In the beginning part of this year we have made significant progress in developing real-time horizon scanning for our QED platform and we look forward to sharing this with the industry soon.” 

Evidology Systems is the revolutionary RegTech company founded by Brown, alongside Ian Hillier-Brook, in 2019 to combat the many regulatory and compliance issues that they had experienced in their long careers in the City. Evidology Systems' QED platform is the only system able to take a regulation from a PDF file, the current general global standard, and translate it into a consistent structure which can then be processed automatically, supplying the actions needed for an organisation to be compliant.

Brown has a long history working in the UK FinTech industry having managed enterprise and trading risk technology at UBS, Merrill Lynch and Thomson Reuters before moving on to found RegTech company, Evidology Systems. Brown also became one of the first Financial Services IT thought leaders to be made a Senior Member of the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery).

The UK FinTech awards are run by FinTech Intel and were created to celebrate the achievements and successes of the UK’s financial technology market. Entries and nominations will be judged by an independent panel of experts, with winners planned to be announced at an in-person ceremony on the 22nd July in London.
