About Evidology Systems

After a number of years developing content and delivery options, Evidology Systems launched in mid-2019. Its QED (Quality and Evidence Driven) solution is described as a second generation RegTech solution due to the unique combination of a rules-based regulations engine integrated with the latest specialist legal interpretation and opinion for each regulation. Regulators deliberately build-in shades of grey in the requirements and definition of compliance and it is this uncertainty and ambiguity which makes compliance so challenging and regularly requires specialist legal opinion and court time.

While first generation RegTech solutions do a good job of reporting and submitting data, by their very nature they are unable to provide the vital legal opinion required to have true confidence in compliance.

For every regulation addressed by QED there is an instant click-through to the current legal interpretation and requirements. In recent years institutions have spent millions providing regulators with vast quantities of data in the belief they were compliant – the reality, however, is very different.

Without access to specialist legal interpretation and opinion institutions may as well buy a weekly lottery ticket and cross their fingers.
Our team has extensive experience in FinTech and RegTech, with the company’s leadership having decades of knowledge of trading and risk technology in international markets.

Rupert Brown

CTO AND FOUNDER

Always at the center of change and innovation, Rupert has for many decades been part of the C-suite, involved in developing, implementing and managing enterprise and trading risk technology with some of the largest and most influential global financial institutions.

MarkLogic, UBS, Merrill Lynch and Thomson Reuters are just some of the institutions which have benefited from Rupert’s vision, experience and ability to deliver enterprise-wide change.

Having seen the shortcomings of the first generation RegTech solutions he set about creating a better solution that incorporated the all-important legal opinion perspective – the result is Evidology.
